Exercise 2 Blogs – use this in your subject line
Blog is short for weblog and
is a site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments,
and often includes hyperlinks provided by the writer. It is the most commonly
used of web 2.0 tools. The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and
someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.” For your investigative exercise take a
look at these 3 library blogs:
Write a post on your blog about one of the blog posts you have looked at. Include in your post what
interested you about this post. Make certain you label your post.

Investigative Exercise 3 Photo sharing and Flickr – use this
in your subject line
There are websites that
allow people to share online photographs.
Their popularity has grown due to
features that allow photos to be socially tagged and browsed. Comments
can be left at the image point. Two major sites for image sharing are Flickr
(run by Yahoo) at http://www.flickr.com/ and Picasa (run by Google) at http://picasa.google.com/.
For this exercise go to http://www.flickr.com/. Find some
photos uploaded by a library anywhere in the world – describe one of the photos
on your blog and include a link to the photostream for that library.
Make certain you label your post.
